The Gold Coast City Council has a Cultural On-line Directory.
This is a free listing for arts related people such as writers, artists, musicians, arts workers and organisations.
Go to the link below and register your details and then upload a listing of what you do.
If someone is looking through the directory database for a writer, a hub or anything to do with the arts they can find it if it’s listed. So why not add your listing today.
The link is: http://cultural.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/directory.aspx to check out the Directory.
It’s important for writers to support your local cultural centres and the arts. The more you do this, the more councils will respond by providing these wonderful opportunities.
If you live on the Gold Coast you should visit the Gold Coast Arts Centre. There’s plenty of music, theatre, reviews, comedy, gallery displays, opera, dance, literature and more.
On 26th July two of our authors will be attending a ‘Writer’s Forum’ at the Friends of Make-A-Wish luncheon at the centre. Anne Infante will discuss her latest book Escape from the Past and Dorothy Dart will talk about The Katy Tree.
I’m planning to attend so I’ll let you know how it goes.
