Peter Bowler may be an old hand at marketing books but he continues to find new ideas. Here’s his latest:
The front of his t-shirt shows the book cover.
The back of his t-shirt shows the Zeus website www.zeus-publications.com
Peter also contacts local media regularly, giving them new pitches that may apply to his book or himself as an interesting story. His latest was published in City North News. Being a collector of old records (how else would The De Reszke Record come about?) he came across an old acetate recording of someone’s wedding. The City North News published the article to help seek out the wedding couple so Peter could return their record to them.
What a terrific human-interest angel!
This feel-good story ends happily with the bride, Monica (who is now 86 years old) being found. Peter has since handed her back the beloved keepsake and now Peter’s mind is churning with author ideas. There’s gotta be a story in that huh!
Ideas that don’t cost too much but can go a long way in promoting your book. How about your kids set up a book store in front of you house and sell your book instead of lemonade? (Who can resist cute kids?)
Print up flyers about your book and pin it up on the local noticeboard at your shopping centre.
