I have so many books on my desk to market at the moment. Time management is the key to how I’ll get through the workload but I get so excited every time I see a new book. I pick up each book, look over the cover, read the blurb, feel the gloss or matt finish, flick through the pages and breathe it in. I realise that the author of each book I hold has accomplished something really special. Their book is published. I feel happy for them and ponder on their reaction when they first get to see their book.
I don’t suppose you can work in publishing without loooooving books!
