Tina A Wake – On Writing

Name: Tina A.Wake

What are the books you have written?:  The Glimpse Book One, currently writing Book 2 called ‘Eden’.

What is your preferred genre?: New Age Fiction

Where is your favourite place to write?: In privacy!  Preferably on a rainy day.

What is your favourite writing reference, tool etc.?: Lap top is a Godsend.

Do you need peace and quiet or noise and chaos when you write?: Either as my ideas come to me at all times of the day.  I always have a pen and pad handy, especially when I am driving.

What is something unique about your writing?:  I have included some of my spiritual experiences in my novel which is unique.  I would also like to think that my way of teaching is unique in involving the reader and prompting them to question their lives for the better.

Do you think rejection is just a part of writing that writers have to accept?:  Definitely.  Every No, is closer to the Yes.

Does anyone help you with your writing process?:  I feel like it just “comes to me” which I believe is ‘source’.

What is your best advice to new writers?:  Go for it and don’t listen to people telling you it is hard.  As with anything, only listen to those who support you and are positive.  You are a go getter, so go get it!

What can’t you live without?:  My son, he is an angel.  Water in all forms ( drink, waterfall, waves, rain etc…) cleanses me and is music to my soul.

Who is your favourite author?:  Marion Zimmer Bradley, I love the Authurian tales and the history of Pagan England.

What do you do as a hobby or pastime other than writing?: Study and speak Japanese, and sing and play guitar.

In one word describe yourself:  Playful.
