Another long weekend for us Queenslanders. It’s okay for those who are permanently employed who get paid for the day but it can be a nuisance to casuals, contractors etc.
I have to rearrange all my days and then I miss my usual writing days. I know – no excuses! I have a long weekend so plenty of time to write- right? Hopefully. That’s all I’ll say because for some reason my long weekends keep slipping by as the days are filled with housework, gardening and running the kids here and there.
Rather than picking up a pen I seem to pick up loose socks (usually stinky footy socks that tend to give me nausea).
I wish you all luck in finding some writing time this weekend. I think I’ll need it.
Let me know what you get up to.
PS. There is nothing better than the dawn service for Anzac Day at Currumbin Beach. The sun rises like an orange ribbon over an ocean bobbing with surf boats and sailboats as white doves fly, aircraft soar, guns are fired and the bugle sounded. A moving tribute to the diggers. I had tears.
